MANHATTAN LEGALIZES RAPE
By A. Kronstadt
[May 26, 2011] In an unbelievable upset victory over reason, human dignity, and the people
of New York City, a Manhattan jury today found ex-NYPD officer Kenneth Moreno not guilty
of raping a Manhattan woman who was sexually assaulted in her 13th Street apartment in
December 2008. Moreno's partner, Franklin Mata, was acquitted of being an accessory to
rape, as well as for burglary, for helping take the woman's house keys.
Medical evidence proved that the woman had suffered a bruised cervix and a surveillance
tape proved that the two uniformed officers had re-entered her building using a key, four
times after escorting her upstairs from a cab after she became ill from drinking too much at
a party. However, the jury apparently accepted Moreno's story that, as an ex-alcoholic, he
had gone back into the woman's apartment to counsel the woman, whom he had never met
before. Moreno testified that they cuddled, and that any sex they had was consensual, though
he denied having sex, which is a surprisingly common contradictory line put forward by sex
offenders that more than one jury has bought into.
The two cops were convicted of official misconduct, a misdemeanor, for having falsified
records about their movements that night. Essentially, what the jury has concluded is that
when on-duty cops who come into the home of a woman, ostensibly to aid her, and one of
them has initiated sex from behind while she is soaked with vomit and in a drunken stupor,
this is not rape, nor is it burglary, because cops have the right to go in your house.

Junk justice like this does not serve the interests of public safety, because it shows that
cops will always get the benefit of the doubt, no matter how antisocially they behave, and
that things like this are going to happen over and over again. The SHADOW now publicly
predicts that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, another creepo pervert scumbag who can get the
right lawyers and corrupt the right journalists, will be acquitted by some snobby yuppie
jury whose members know where their bread is buttered. Until we are proven wrong, rape
has been legalized in New York City.
